It is well understood that not every parent is a good parent. It is the general expectation that mothers and fathers love their children with all their heart, but that does not always happen. There are parents that exist that attempt to make their children suffer in their place and sometimes even send their children to hell. These are not Christian parents and sometimes they unfamiliar with the Holy Bible and what the Holy Bible says regarding the subject. There are also non-Christian people who attempt to make others suffer in their place, which may refer to suffering the consequences of sin but may also refer to making someone suffer in hell in their place.
In Ezekiel 18, Ezekiel tells us what the Lord God told him regarding who suffers for sin. Basically the person that commits the sin is the responsible party and is the person held accountable for that sin. They also suffer the consequences of that sin. The Lord God sent Ezekiel to Babylon to prophesy and preach to the people. The Lord God was extremely unhappy with the people of Babylon and felt that he had communicated with the people that they were going to be punished for their sinful ways. But the Lord God wanted to make sure that the people of Babylon understood that they were being judged by Lord God and wanted them to understand the expectations that Lord God had of them. Because they had disregarded the voice of God, the Lord God sent Ezekiel to warn the people of Babylon verbally and audibly and hopefully to lead them to repent of their sin.
Ezekiel wrote:
The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “What do you people mean by quoting this proverb about the land of Israel: “‘The parents eat sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge’? “As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, you will no longer quote this proverb in Israel. 4 For everyone belongs to me, the parent as well as the child—both alike belong to me. The one who sins is the one who will die (Ezekiel 18: 1-4).
Sour grapes is intended to mean sin or sinful deeds. The proverb led the people to believe that the children would suffer for the sins of the parent. This same proverb is also addressed in Jeremiah 31:29-30. Lord God wanted to stop this belief and told Ezekiel that everyone belongs to him, meaning that the child belongs to Lord God as well as the parent, instead of the child belonging to the parent. If you read the King James translation of the Holy Bible, you will see that Lord God is saying all souls belong to him.
When Lord God says that the one who sins is the one to die, that is referring to the second death. The second death refers the eternal separation from God. In Revelations 21:8, Lord God sentences those who sinned but never repented to the second death to suffer in the lake of fire and sulfur, which we commonly believe is hell.
But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Revelation 21:8).”
Lord God describes a righteous man as being a 5 “Suppose there is a righteous man who does not eat food sacrificed to idols or worship idols, does not commit adultery or have sex with a woman during her period, who also does not oppress anyone, who also pays back all his loans, who does not commit robbery, to feeds and provides clothing to the poor, who does not take advantage of people by loaning money at unfair rates, and who does what is just and right, who judges fairly between two parties, who keeps God’s commandments; that man is righteous and will live(Ezekiel 18:5-9).
The Lord God then tells Ezekiel that if a man had a violent son who shed blood or any other sin, even if his father never committed a sin, then that man will die, which means he will be held accountable for his sin and will be throw into the lake of fire, if he never repents (Ezekiel 18:10-13).
Then the Lord God tells Ezekiel that if there was a son who see the sins his father commits but does not commit any of them, and keeps God’s commandments, the Lord God said that the son will not die for his father’s sin, but that the son will live. The Lord God said that the father will die for his own sin which means he will suffer separation from Lord God and be thrown into the lake of fire (Ezekiel 18:14-18). In addition, the Lord God said the righteous will be considered righteous and the wicked will be considered wicked, meaning that the innocent will not pay for the sins they did not commit.
Ezekiel 18:19
“Yet you ask, ‘Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?’ Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all my decrees, he will surely live. 20 The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.
However, if the wicked person turns away from his sin, repents of his sin, keeps all of God’s decrees and commandments, and lives righteously, that person will live and not die. Lord God promises to not remember the sin when the wicked person has repented of that sin (Ezekiel 18:21). But if a righteous person commits the sin that the wicked person commits, then that person will die which means that person will suffer in the lake of fire, because they were unfaithful to Lord God and they were guilty of sin (Ezekiel 18:24).
Knowing there are wicked people who attempt to make people sin, wanting to make them fall from the grace of God, Lord God will judge those who cause people to sin. According to Matthew 18:6-8, if you were to cause someone to sin, it would be better for you to drown in the sea. In addition, if your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; saying it is better to be crippled than to be thrown into eternal fire. This leads us to understand that Lord God’s judgement is stern and non-compromising. Therefore, if there are wicked people who intend to cause us to sin, we need to cut them out of our life.
The Lord God says if a righteous person turns away from righteousness and commits sin, they will die for it. If a wicked person turns away from wickedness, and does what is just and right, they will save their life (Ezekiel 18:25-28). The point that Lord God is making is that each individual is responsible for the sin they commit and no one will pay for that sin other that the individual that committed the sin. However, the Lord God does forgive. The Lord God also said that if the individual would turn away from their sin and choose righteousness, they can be forgiven.
The Holy Bible says that if someone repents of their sin and believes in Christ Jesus of Nazareth, they can have their sin forgiven. The Holy Bible also says that after someone repents and believes in Christ Jesus of Nazareth, the Lord God will not remember their sin anymore (Hebrews 10:7). However, the Holy Bible also says that if someone willfully commits sin after knowing the truth, their sin is not forgiven.
Hebrew 10:26
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Christ Jesus says that those that have believed in Christ Jesus will have salvation from hell and will be forgiven. Christ Jesus says that those who believe in him will follow him and will not be lost or stolen from him. Christ Jesus refers to himself as the shepherd and refers to the followers of Christ Jesus as his sheep. With the possibility of the rapture occurring at any moment, we would never want Christ Jesus to doubt that we are one of his sheep.
John 10:25-30
25 Jesus answered them, “I’ve told you, but you don’t believe me. The things that I do in my Father’s name testify on my behalf. 26 However, you don’t believe because you’re not my sheep. 27 My sheep respond to my voice, and I know who they are. They follow me, 28 and I give them eternal life. They will never be lost, and no one will tear them away from me. 29 My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than everyone else, and no one can tear them away from my Father. 30 The Father and I are one.”
The point is that each of us is responsible for the sin we commit and no one suffers for us. Christ Jesus believes we made the choice to sin and believes to abstain from sin is a choice also. If we believe in Christ Jesus, pray and repent, then our sin can be forgiven. If someone does not believe in Christ Jesus, then his sin is his and no one pays the price of that sin other than himself. In addition, I am told that it was written in a place named Alaya that if someone were to send 5000 angels to hell in someone's place, that person or form of existence would be released from hell. I am telling you that is not true and that Lord God never intends to let angels suffer for anyone or let anything or anyone suffer in anyone's place in hell. As a matter of fact, Christ Jesus visited me to inform me that Lord God will not let this writing come true and that Lord God does not change his mind.
In the name of Christ Jesus, I pray to Christ Jesus and Lord God requesting that Lord God forgive my sin and grant me salvation in Christ Jesus again. I pray that Christ Jesus prevent anyone from trying to make anyone or anything suffer in hell for anyone else and request that Lord God grant justice 7 fold on behalf of anyone who has been made to suffer for a sin that they did not commit. Lord God protect us from temptation and lead us and encourage us to walk in your ways and keep your commandments. I pray that Lord God judge all that condemn the righteous and the Christian. I pray that Lord God judge all that condemn the children. I pray also for restoration for all that have been forced to suffer for a sin they did not commit. I pray this request in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen.
