Salvation -Your First Line of Defense
|
Using the name of Jesus or any kind of prayer is only effective if you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior. If you haven’t prayed The Sinner’s Prayer and made Jesus the foundation of your life, then your prayers will not be nearly as effective. God only hears the prayers of His children. And in order to become one of His children, you have to give your life to God, and accept His most precious gift, His Son, Jesus Christ, as Lord of your life. After saying The Sinner’s Prayer, and meaning it with your whole heart and your whole mind, you are made Anew in the Spirit. Your sins are instantly forgiven, simply because you have confessed and asked for forgiveness. Being made Anew in the Spirit is what many Christians call “being born again”. From that point, the more you get to know God, and the closer you are to God, the more strength your prayers will have.
The prayer for salvation can be worded in several different ways. According to the Holy Bible, we need to profess with our mouth that we believe on Christ Jesus, that we believe that Christ Jesus is Gods son, that Christ Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and that God raised Christ Jesus from the grave.
John 3:16-17 says: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Romans 10:9-10 says: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
The Sinners Prayer does not usually include words to renounce the devil, satan, or lucifer, but because you are reading this for the sake of deliverance, or because you are experiencing spiritual warfare, I am including them in this Sinners Prayer.
The Sinner’s Prayer “Lord Jesus, I come before you and confess that I am a sinner, and that I need You. Please forgive my every sin, and come into my life and live in my heart. Dear Jesus, I renounce the devil, satan, and lucifer. Jesus, I believe that You are the son of Almighty God, that You died on the Cross for our sins, and shed Your Blood for me. I thank you Jesus for your great sacrifice, and accept this most precious gift. I believe on you Jesus. Almighty God, please accept me as one of your children, whom You love and care for, and nurture and cherish. Show me the way, the truth, and the life. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray this request, Amen”.
You are now a Child of God! Father God loves and looks over all of His children, and he wants only what is best for you. God’s presence in your life will bring you happiness and joy. Just remember, that the amount of God’s presence in your life is directly proportional to the amount of time that is spent with Him, praising and worshiping Him, and in prayer.
